Happy Valentines Day!

2/15/2013

“I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my soul can reach.” ~Elizabeth Browning
The other day I came across this quote and it has held my thoughts ever since.  It’s a popular quote but since today is Valentine’s Day I wagered I could get away with a tad more mushiness than usual. Bear with me ;p.
You see, I get this quote. I get it because I feel it every day. They are the words of a woman who is trying to pen the ever growing affection she has for the one her heart loves. The only way to express a love like this is to describe it with all your being. To yell it on a mountain top one day, only to realize the next it wasn’t loud enough because the next day your love has grown and you look back and wish you could yell louder.
Love grows.
My love grows.
And today I get to yell it a little louder.

I also get to capture this love with a camera. (It’s one of the reasons I am always saying “I love my job”.) I felt it only fitting to share the love I see. The love I saw when I shot this couple. Enjoy!

Dane,
Four years ago I realized I loved you. Four years ago I was so overwhelmed by the realization that you couldn’t stop me from blurting “it” out over the phone. Four years ago I loved you with all my heart. Today I love you more.
Tomorrow I will love you more.
Every day after I will love you with all the  “depth and breadth and height my soul can reach”.
You are forever my favorite,
~Shelly

Absolutely beautiful Shelly. You are amazing and so is your talent. The first time I heard Dane talk about you, I knew there was something special about the journey you guys were embarking on. Reveille in your past, enjoy the present, and celebrate the future.

Awwww…. Wow. I love that you have a husband who loves you so much, and that you share your love with him just as much. I love seeing your love for photography come through with every post. You yet again have captured the love that so many wish to discover.

I love how you focused on her eyes–they are so rich and deep.
