Venizia

7/09/2015

Someone once said “A realist, in Venice would become a romantic by mere faithfulness to what he saw”. I couldn’t sum up Venice any better if I tried. There is a charm in Venice all its own. A captivating magical quality that seems to cast a spell on beholding eyes. It is by far the best place to get lost. And indeed the only threat to getting lost is losing all sense of modern day reality. Worries and cares seem to drift away with each canal’s curvy current. We loved our short time in Venice and were enthralled with her beauty every minute we spent wandering her streets.
The next morning Dane and I got up before the sun and went exploring.
I highly recommend doing this if you are ever in Venice. When you know me, and how much I despise anything that happens before 9am…well. This is saying something.
My fearless pilot husband is bravely facing his fear of “falling from heights”. He was holding on ‘in case’. ;p
The inside of buildings are just a beautiful as the outside.
I highly recommend eating at Zucca. It was our favorite restaurant in Venice.
Venice has a beauty all its own but we soon found out the beauty of Italy stretches all throughout the country. Our adventures continued on a sail boat stay along the Amalfi coast.
Part III coming soon.

I would love to frame some of these. What beautiful pictures. Some of them almost look like paintings.

  2. I love Venice. It too was one of my favorite places that we were in during our vacation to Italy. Actually some of the photos that we took actually hang in our bathroom beautifully framed. I totally recommend doing that with your photos!!! I love the photo of the dad and the boy that you took. You have an eye to capture sweet innocent moments like that one. Also, the photos of you took of Dane looking back are priceless. I am so glad you have Dane as your husband. You too compliment each other perfectly.. and you can tell in your photos that he was just having a ball being with you there. Love it.
